Packages

Package 1: Home Studio Production
Recorded, edited, and produced by Rosie at her home studio.
Best For: Lower budgets, looser deadlines, or shorter projects - Only available for projects under 5 finished hours

Package 2: Hybrid Production/AudioBee Productions*
Recorded at Rosie’s home studio / Edited and mastered by a producer at AudioBee Productions.
Best For: Middle ground between the two other packages - good option for an authors first audiobook 

Package 3: Full Studio Production 
Recorded, edited, and mastered at a producer’s studio. 
Best For: Bigger budgets, tighter deadlines, and larger projects

*If you choose Hybrid Production with AudioBee, there are two ways to do it:

  1. I am the client for AudioBee. You pay me, I pay AudioBee. With this option you communicate only with me and I handle all communication with AudioBee and the producer.

  2. You are the client for AudioBee. You pay AudioBee, they pay me. With this option, you have the option to work with a project manager who oversees production of the audiobook.

Sample Process

This is a step we take before actually starting the recording process. I recommend choosing a chunk (normally a couple paragraphs-a page or two) of the book that either contains a lot of different characters speaking, or a dramatic scene that is important to you. I will record it and send it back. From there you can either give me the go ahead or give me some broad strokes adjustments to make. Some examples of what that might look like are:

  •  Slow the narration down/pick up the pace

  • Tweaking a character voice or accent

  • Adjustments to the tone (“more mature” or “more exciting”)

I will record the chunk a second time with those tweaks in mind. If the second sample isn’t quite what you’re looking for, we can revisit to decide if we are a good fit for each other or if I can make the desired changes moving forward (without a third sample). 

Revisions

Usually, I will do a couple chapters at a time and email/upload them as they are completed (but different producers I work with do different things). You are welcome to send me corrections/revisions as you listen, but it is easiest for me to do one big session of corrections at the end. That being said, if you have any glaring corrections (mispronunciations or accent notes), please send them ASAP so I don't continue to make that mistake. When sending revisions, including a timestamp and page number of the mistake makes my life easier. The first round of revisions is included at no cost with all package options. Beyond that: 

  • My mistakes (word fumbles, mispronunciations*) - $0 

  • Quick Fixes (changes in script) - <100 words/$20

  • Performance Revisions and Re-Reads (>30% of original script) - original PFH rate

Spice Level
